Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition 30 months after they moved out to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators can be present based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced finished work included a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium earlier this month. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
