Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt ready to express about his personal sorrow.

"Sufficient time has passed that I can finally articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started passing more hours together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the movie, adding that he doesn't recollect "one day without mirth".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Values that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a distinct tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

Recently, a Los Angeles court official agreed to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the LAPD.

A court order placed a security hold on the investigation to restrict the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" pertaining to the active case.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of foul play, with a public database listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".
