Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
