No Favorable Outcome - Citizens Throughout the US Voice Concerns Regarding the Funding Lapse

US legislators from the two factions are pointing fingers as thousands of employees are on uncompensated time off and the closure drags on with no conclusion in sight.

Democrats have refused to back the Republican funding bill unless expiring insurance support which they argue many employed households count on are renewed.

Republicans desire Democrats to pass a short-term bill first and then they can address the support payments.

A Republican Voter, 49, Republican

This Golden State voter is concerned about the broad effect of the funding halt on ordinary people.

The GOP have fifty-three votes, they need 60 to enact the measure. Is it really that hard to find common ground over seven supporters so that US citizens aren't being hurt?

If this continues for an extended period, the truth is US citizens are being harmed, the populace are being impacted by this and somebody needs to step up to be the grown-up in the group.

I believe sometimes politicians are so removed from ordinary citizens, the regular person managing daily affairs, so they don't remember what the challenge is like and I feel they need to factor that in, notably if it's a large number of workers that are without income.

That's a large group of Americans missing wages, that's a large group of citizens failing to contribute their earnings toward the market. Citizens are just being harmed.

A Democratic Voter, 22, Democratic Supporter

This Old Line State resident recognises this shutdown will cause pain to many Americans, but she thinks it is a worthy struggle.

I'm nervous because there is no positive result with the federal government being closed.

I'm very anxious about what's going to transpire to low-income families, learners who depend on federal scholarships and federal employees.

But this is a important struggle for the Democrats to fight. Of course jobs are going to be cut, initiatives are going to face budget shortfalls, which is so disappointing but I do not believe that is blood that the Democrats would have on their conscience.

I think it's valuable to persist, this is sending a strong message to their voters.

Punal Bhavsar, 36, Democrat

This Golden State citizen is worried the Democrats are missing a plan in their closure plan.

I question if the Democratic leadership has a strategy for an resolution path to negotiations or how to lead the group beyond this.

I question if the Democrats have a effective message to the citizens on what they're doing.

In terms of social media messaging, the GOP certainly have the edge. The communication is not persuasive on what the left are attempting.

I'm presently at a stage where I'm kind of nervous because federal closures don't help anyone.

I'm going to be okay, but for everyone else who relies on the federal system, who wants to go visit a federal park or gallery, they're going to be affected, if not currently, then in the short term.

And that is unreasonable.

A Republican Voter, Mid-Fifties, Republican

This Hoosier State voter says Democrats are acting strategically with everyday citizens and their income.

This is standard political maneuvering. It is a continuing resolution they are attempting to enact, that the opposition reject.

Everyone's calling it a Democratic closure, it's not on the GOP, it's on the opposition, he's acting to stay prominent within his group - in the meantime, everyone's in the uncertainty.

I don't see that this is going to resolve.

The average Americans are stuck in the crossfire, and Democrats are willing to disregard the public. They're failing to do their reputation any favours when they truly hold up matters like this.

Trey Stewart, 27, Democratic Supporter

This Florida voter claims the Democratic tactic is a difficult but essential one and one that touches his relative, who has been furloughed because of the closure.

The Democratic plan is a tough one, but sadly it is a required one.

They have failed to do much to impede or stop the current administration's policies.

I endorse their approach, I support their rationale for proceeding.

The administration leader is a bully and if you acquiesce to a intimidator he's going to demand additional concessions, that's how aggressive people work. So you have to stand up to a intimidator to make him recognise you're not going to surrender for without resistance.

The point when it becomes too much is when the Democratic Party start losing the PR battle, if the perception shifts to criticizing the Democrats then it might be necessary to reach a resolution.

A Republican Voter, Mid-Sixties, Republican

This Arizona citizen is unaffected by the shutdown so he is ok with the halt continuing, if that is what it is needed for the GOP to win.

I would believe after the time that the left have had, I would have thought that they would have gone along with the temporary funding, at least in the short term.

I am fully supportive of what the Republicans are attempting, I'm fully supportive of lowering public expenditure.

The Democrats have become so antagonistic of the administration, whatever he proposes I feel they would seek reasons to battle him.

I myself am not feeling the urgency that other Americans are, this leaves me untouched.

The minimal we rely on the government - what it does provide for us - the funding gap is will not affect us {whatsoever|at all|in any
